National Pickling Cucumber

National Pickling Cucumber is an heirloom variety from Michigan bred about 100 years ago. It was bred specifically to have flattened ends (as opposed to tapered) to create the perfect tasting pickle that maximized space in the jar. It can be picked at 6 inches long, or smaller.

Cucumber plants love heat, sun, and having something to climb. Gently train your cucumber vines around their support every few days. Keep your cucumbers well watered while taking care to not get the leaves damp. Cucumbers can grow right alongside pole beans, sharing the same trellising.

Grown organically with love and tenderness in the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada, in the summer of 2023. Germination tested. Minimum 30 seeds.
