Dakota Black Popping Corn

This ancient variety of black popping corn comes from the Dakota people. It grows to 4-6 feet tall, meaning it is a suitable candidate for supporting pole beans in a Three Sisters garden. Direct seed corn soon after the last frost and it will have a head start by the time you plant your beans. 

Corn does best with lots of water, but this variety is relatively tolerant of dry conditions.

Grown organically with love and tenderness in the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada, in the summer of 2023. Germination tested. Minimum 30 kernels.
