These flat, ribbed pumpkins are both edible and beautiful for fall decoration. Said to be the inspiration for Cinderella's carriage, they average about 10-15 inches wide and weigh anywhere from 10-30 pounds. Plants can sprawl 15 feet from their root and produce about 3 pumpkins each; I often interplant pumpkins with tall vegetables like tomatoes and train the vines to fill in any empty spaces between plants. These pumpkins are best for roasting, soups and curries- they are a little too wet for pie filling. Seeds can also be harvested for eating. Open pollinated.
Grown organically with love and tenderness in the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada, in the summer of 2022. Germination tested. Minimum 20 seeds.
