Chives

What's a Canadian garden without a clump of chives? These flavourful fronds add a touch of allium flavour to any dish, and young flowers are a delicious edible garnish. Chives also contribute to a balanced ecosystem in your garden, providing anti-fungal and pest-deterrent properties. They are considered a companion plant, and pollinator-friendly if left to bloom. 

These seeds come from what we jokingly refer to as the everlasting chive plant. This plant has been growing strong in the greenhouse for 5 years, producing abundant food and multiple seed harvests per year. It has certainly earned the right to stay!

Grown organically with love and tenderness in the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada, in the summer of 2023. Germination tested, average 70% germination rate. Minimum 50 seeds.
